Update FL Studio to the latest version

Download the latest installer

Run the installer over the existing version
Simply double-click and run. No need to uninstall first. The installer updates FL Studio in-place. All your projects, settings and plugins are preserved.

Re-register if prompted
After updating, if FL Studio shows as trial: Help → Unlock FL Studio. Log in with your Image-Line account email. Your licence is re-applied automatically.

Verify the version
Help → About FL Studio. The version should show 25.2.5 build 5319.

Update questions
Do I need to uninstall old FL Studio before updating?
No. Just run the new installer over the existing installation. It handles the update automatically. Uninstalling first is unnecessary and wastes time.
After updating, FL Studio shows as trial again
This is normal after a major version update. Go to Help → Unlock FL Studio and log in with your Image-Line account. Your licence is still valid — it just needs to be re-fetched from the Image-Line servers.
How to update FL Studio without losing settings
Run the installer over the existing version — settings are preserved automatically. As an extra precaution, back up your settings folder before updating: copy
%APPDATA%\Image-Line to a safe location.
